Well, here is the beginning of our adventure to serve the Lord both here and abroad, while still maintaining somewhat of our current life; i.e., Doc still working in his veterinary practice and Helen doing medical transcription from her laptop as she travels from city to city to visit the children/grandchildren.
After Helen's trip to Ethiopia in August with Kristin to get Markos, we have been praying and researching the best time and way to return to Ethiopia, first to find Helen's heart which she left there and to find a way to share our skills with the people to aide them in their becoming self-sufficient and able to provide for themselves.
In the forefront of our plans, is a plan to go in February and possibly work in a village in the mountains that is served by the church in Addis that we attended with the adoption families. They have a real need for Doc's skills as a farmer as well as veterinarian and Helen in various capacities.
Please pray with us as we seek God's direction and continue to pursue the path we are to follow.
